Many years ago Shane and I went to a concert and the artist ended the whole thing by simply singing "O Come Let Us Adore Him." No accompaniment, no lights, no smoke, no one going crazy… just simple, humble adoration of our great God. This made a huge impact on us that a popular, accomplished musician would want that to be the thing people walked away with. Many times through the years Shane ended church services the same way. Only God! The last time he spoke at Bible Conference at PCC the choir sang "Behold Our God" just before he preached that first night. It was so moving that he stopped the choir who was exiting the stage and asked them to sing it again. This was something he did often, keeping everyone on their toes! The spirit in that auditorium that night was like the no other time I remember. He then preached a classic message on the love of God. I can still hear, “He loves me, He loves me, He loves me.” What a thought! What a God! I decided to blend these two songs together. As I was listening this morning, I was envisioning Shane truly beholding our God and could hear him singing "O Come Let Us Adore Him!" What a time he must be having!
