It Is Well With My Soul was the very last song we ever sang together as a family in our living room. We had no idea that Shane would be taken home to heaven just a few days later. It was one of his favorite hymns and he had requested to sing it that night. We sang it very often in church services through the years. I’ll never forget his hand signals to me at the piano…to change keys on the last verse… nearly every time. The origin of this song is powerful. Horatio Spafford, shortly after losing his 4 daughters, penned the lyrics that have ministered to countless people through the years. It is well with my soul.
